Joost 0.9 has been released. Now with more channels and an even nicer interface, it truly promises to be a great product. With this new release, I also received 5 invitations. The folks who already requested them get first dibs so were 3 more to be handed out. Hopefully, I will be getting more soon. If you want TV anytime, anywhere (that you have internet access) just comment and I’ll send one right along.
Currently, I don’t have any invitations to give out!
I have been accepted as a Joost beta tester. Although I am no fan of TV (in fact, I only get 3 stations) Joosts looks very promising because it is TV 2.0. With features including ratings, Jabber compatible instant messaging, and custom channels it brings many features of social media to TV. However, just what is Joost?
Joostâ„¢ is a new way of watching TV on the internet, which uses new and established technologies to provide the best of both the internet and TV worlds.

So far, there isn’t very much programming available. In the future, I would love to see some comedy since this is the only type of TV that I enjoy watching. On the technical side, tagging would also be a very cool feature. All in all, Joost shows promise as a very cool program/service. Oh, and the UI rocks.
Currently, I don’t have any invitations to give out!
