Clif Bar has started a very cool new campaign called the 2 Mile Challenge. Besides supporting a great cause, it also is very well orchestrated. The site is built using lots of cool goodies (including a blog of course) but I especially like their Google Maps implementation. It is very useful to really see what is two miles from your house. Besides offering a very nice interactive website, Cobra Creative has produced an extremely well done visual essay:
Everything about it is very well done. The points are clear and well illustrated. The music is catchy. The text supports the pictures perfectly and moves at just the right speed. All in all, it’s what I see as great in this new medium of (short) video.
Thanks to Dan for the link.

This is phenomenal! Thanks for the heads on up this. I think I will indeed take the 2 mile challenge (once I get a bike…) For now I’ve been taking the 1 mile challenge: where can I walk to that’s within 1 mile from my house? Certainly helps that I have a mall nearby.
Thanks for stopping by, Gnorb.
Yes, it certainly is phenomenal. I’m glad that you plan to take the 2 mile challenge. It is a great experience socially, morally, and physically. In the meantime, good lucky with your “1 mile challenge;” walking can be great too. Have fun!
