That's not to say that if student's work was actually valuable, they should be denied payment for some third-party... But, no, paying kids for good grades should not occur, and if it does, should stay in the realm of parenting. It's plain and simple bribery. Don't even get me started on how bad grading is to determine at what level of learning a student has accomplished...
