Step It Up

If con is the opposite of pro, what is the opposite of progress?

Congress

Well, maybe if we citizens put enough pressure on them, Congress can finally Step It Up. I am a strong advocate for the enviroment and believe that global warming is caused by human activity. Additionally, I believe that it is the duty of the government to jump out of the pockets of big oil. Of course, it is hard to jump when you are an old man. (minus Obama of course) Besides the environmental mission, I am also interested in the Step It Up website since they have managed to harness social technology. This is part of a growing trend I have seen lately where the progressive political website are harnessing the web far more that they use to. Finally they realize that the only way to reach the web 2.0 generation is by using social media technologies. In the age of cell phones and social media, the political campaigns which fail to attract the next age of voters are sure to fail.

P.S. If you are launching a political campaign (or any social website for that matter) I am of course always open for business.
