
A week ago I moved to DreamHost. Despite some minor issues, I have been extremely satisfied with my experience. This satisfaction can be attributed mainly to their great support and slick web panel. For instance, when I made a stupid error in my .htaccess file, they had it fixed within two hours. Unfortunately, it is true that DreamHost’s uptime is not fabulous. However, if you simply get in touch with them, they will help you to fix the issue in a courteous and professional manner. When I had issues with uptime, they were there through the whole process. The first time I had downtime, they checked over my server and tracked its state. Then, when it continued, they reimbursed me with one month of free hosting. When the issue continued, they moved me to a new server which has been rock solid every since. A combination of great support, low price, and plenty of features makes DreamHost my favorite host.

The host who I am currently with is not very good at all when it comes to support. I also made a bit of a mistake in going with them as I could have got a much better deal for a few pounds more at another host. That is my fault and I know when it is up for renewal I will be moving hosts. If these rave reviews about DreamHost continue to come I will defiantly consider them. Unfortunately my renewal is not for a while yet…
