As I watched this meme work its way around the blogesphere I thought of things people don’t know about me that I an comfortable sharing. Some things I would be perfectly happy sharing… except that some people from school sometimes go on here. My answers might be embarrassing so I found myself in a conflict between transparency and safety. So, when Jess finally tagged me I had them flying around in my head, ready to be unleashed.
- I enjoy listening to rock, jazz, classical, and any other type of music. What can I say? I’m a person of variety. However, I don’t listen to them all at once - I will listen to one genre when I am in a certain frame of mind and another when I am trying to sleep. I wonder if you can guess which is for when…
- I have never broken a bone in my body. I also haven’t had stitches or any serious illnesses. No, I don’t eat a lot of apples. I just tend to avoid situations where I could get hurt - it’s awfully hard to brake a bone by falling out of your chair in front of your computer. Lucky me!
- I am in 8th grade and go to a small school in Hinesburg, Vermont, USA . I enjoy living in a small town but also want to see the big city so I can learn more about technology and pop culture.
- I don’t like to travel. Traveling can cause a lot of stress and I don’t like stress at all. If I am going to see family and know I will be comfortable there I can usually handle it. Otherwise, I really don’t like to travel. This will proboably inhibit me from seeing all the great things in the world but the fact is that I am perfectly happy to see them all from the comfort of my chair.
- I am afraid of girls (that I like). No, not as in cooties. I can’t ask a girl to dance and I have never had any kind of relationship with a girl. It is hard for me to even talk to them if I like them. Hopefully, I will look back for my yearly summary and think
What an idiot I was back then.
Well, there you go - some things you probably knew or guessed already. Thanks, Jess, for including me in a meme!
Instead of tagging another blogger, I am going to offer this meme to my peers on our team blog. Let’s Let me see if anyone responds. Not unlike Time Magazine, I will also nominate you. Actually, you must be someone who doesn’t have their own blog. I want to hear from some of my readers who aren’t geeks - who haven’t already been tagged. What are 5 things about a non-blogger but reader that I didn’t already know?
As for the last .5 thing, I do actually participate in memes. Also, something I didn’t even know myself - I do have friends.

Excellent list. I’m afraid of travel too, sort of. I just get car sick, plan sick, bus sick, and train sick, so I don’t like going. But by putting all of that aside, I’ve found that you get to see some amazing things.
Girls will always be scary beings. It doesn’t get much easier. The only advice I have is to just go for it. If you get shot down, that’s the worst that could happen. You never know, she might say yes. But if you don’t try, then you won’t know. I’m fairly shy, so it’s hard for me to get the courage up to ask a girl out or for a phone number or anything. But I just take a breath, think about what I’ll lose if she says no, or gain if she says yes, and do it. Rejection is character building. Ha.
As for traveling, I don’t like it. But I do like going new places. I like the thrill of seeing a new thing and experiencing something you don’t know through and through. Mostly, you just have to bare through with the traveling.
As for girls, I know I should just say it. But then I can’t. I think of how pathetic I can seem in my geeky unhealthiness. Once I think of that, I can’t say anything. As for rejection building character - of course it does!
There is nothing wrong with being a geek. Some girls find that attractive.
Not in middle school…
Haha, even in middle school. Middle school is pretty weird though. I had my fair share of problems. But it does get better. That’s the good thing about it.
