For much of my life, I have been lost in a forest. I know the name of every tree. Yet, I don’t know anything about what is inside of them. I see hickories, maples, and oaks. They all fit in with some group, understand each other. Then there’s me: the sole mahogany. For a seemingly endless space of time I stood there, bored and depressed. Then, along came a lumberjack named Internet. He sawed me down and took a few branches from some other trees in the forest, then went back to a huge processing plant. There were millions and millions of trees being processed there from all over the world. Eventually, I was sorted out into an area filled only with mahogany wood. This is where I fit in. This is where I enjoy myself with my blog pals. We have our clubs. Unfortunately, I still have to return to the forest everyday. Still, every time I get back I find that I understand more about the trees. I even notice the shrubs. Still, I have much to learn before I can fit in both with my wood and my forest. Are you lost in a forest of a different wood? Or you are in a grove of the same type?

I finally found the mahogany that I was looking for. I was not lost just needed to look further and some guidance from the leader. Sometimes what appears to the leader as the obivious direction can be quite mysterious to those who are at the back of the trail. The forest is filled with trees, shrubs, flowers all different but sharing in the space and communicating, but it is what nourishes them that is most mysterious, the fire in the sky and water, and earth that somehow combine to create life.
Thank you for sharing the strength and beauty of such a magnificent
