I just returned from an excellent performance of Beauty and the Beast by Burlington High School. All in all it was well done but by far the greatest character was LeFou as portrayed by Issac Goldberg. His antics and ways of moving around the stage added some good humor to the production. Lumière and Cogsworth also gave a good showing. After the show, I thought of how our own school will interpret and produce it later this school. Most of my friends are involved with drama through tech or acting, so I may even try out this year although I have a lot of fear in me. Still, the the first step to fixing a problem is to admit there is one. It must already be partially brave since I admit my fears in a blog where anyone can read it. Tomorrow, I have conferences and I will be leaving for Chicago on Tuesday so this may be my last post for about a week. When you thank others, remember to thank yourself as well.
