By the polls, many voters in Vermont voted a split ballot. They have propelled Peter Welch (Democrat, representative) and Bernie Sanders (Independent, Senate) into Congress but are keeping Jim Douglas (Republican, Governor) and Brian Dubie (Republican, Lieutenant Governor) in their present offices. This represents voters splitting their ballot across Democrats and Republicans. When looking at CNN’s elections data it is especially interesting to see the effects of income and college education on the way peope vote. Meanwhile, our school’s polls (organized by your’s truely) came out all solidly Democrat and accurately reflects the dynamics of our school. This is an interesting election and is a true representation of my liberal Vermont state.
