Elementary Politics

Today, we learned about those guys called “democrats” and “republicans.” (or donkeys and elephants if you prefer) This was a very basic lesson pretty much broke everything down to:

Donkeys (Democrats)
  • More Taxes
  • More Social Services
  • Equality is important
  • A strong government
Elephants (Republicans)
  • Less Taxes
  • Weaker government
  • Surivival of the fittest
  • Faith-based

While I feel that these are very stereotypical, they are mostly true. It was interesting seeing what a crash course in politics looks like.
